On behalf of the organising committee, it gives us immense pleasure to invite you to participate in the 10th Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology Annual Scientific Meeting (MSO-ASM 2019), held in conjunction with the 34th Malaysia-Singapore Joint Ophthalmic Congress (MSJOC 2019) at the Sultan Ahmad Shah International Convention Centre (SASICC) & Zenith Hotel, Kuantan, Pahang, from 22 to 24 March 2019.

The Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology (MSO) is dedicated to upkeep the local ophthalmology practices to the best international standards, by promoting Continuous Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development through MSO-ASM 2019 - the avenue for local ophthalmologists to meet, network and exchange expertise in their subspecialty areas.

To further maximise the opportunities for both ophthalmologists and the industry, the MSO is collaborating with the Singapore Society of Ophthalmology (SSO) to organise the MSJOC 2019, which will be concurrently happening with the MSO-ASM 2019. The collaboration aims to enhance the long-standing ties between the Malaysian and Singaporean ophthalmologists via this platform of knowledge-sharing. The meeting is anticipated to bring together more than 600 attendees to explore the current updates and advancement in ophthalmology.

This year’s theme is Code Red in Ophthalmology, focusing on case-based approaches for paediatric, neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma, cornea and external disease, retina, oculoplastic and other relevant subspecialties, to keep everyone abreast of the latest developments in the rapidly changing and expanding field of ophthalmology.

Kuantan, Pahang, is vibrant and surrounded by lush greenery that gives the town a refreshing countryside atmosphere. The meeting will be a short getaway for participants from the hustle and bustle of cities, to enjoy the sights, scenery, food and most importantly the knowledge shared, and colleagues met during this meeting.
